Early Bird Train

25 May

**Look, I’m famous! Check me out on Julie’s blog talking about my experience volunteering with refugees in Roanoke, VA**

So I actually got up early today. and got out the door. and ran 2 quick miles. All before 7:15am.

I know, I’m surprised too!

After failing twice this week (once by choice), I knew that I really needed to get back on the early bird train if I was going to make this a habit. So my alarm started chirping at 6:15am, and after a brief argument with myself, I hopped out of bed. Ok, so it was more like stumbled half asleep, but you get the idea.

I ran a speedy 2 miles in the morning fog, and it was awesome! My legs felt great, and I really felt like I could have gone on longer. Plus those morning endorphins really do wake you up!

People might actually be right about this whole morning workout thing!

Now I have to be honest with you, I kind of failed as a blogger today, and took like zero pictures. My bad! But here is how my day went anyway!

After I got off work, I headed to Fredericksburg to check out some potential suits for the groomsmen.

For some reason the Men’s Wearhouse website is not loading right now, but this is the look we’re aiming for:

I never knew men’s suits were so complicated! and I thought WOMEN’S fashion was crazy!

After I spent an hour analyzing shadow stripes and flat front pants, I headed back to Culpeper for a quick walk with Laney. It’s funny, I really can’t imagine my life before Laney and our daily walks! She is such a goof whenever we go outside and tries to sneak a chomp of every plant that we pass by!

From there I headed to the last bible study of the year. I’ve only been part of this group for a year, but I’m going to miss them in the fall!

Now I’m back home and am seriously pooped! This whole getting up early thing really takes it out of you!

So sorry for the totally sporadic post today! I swear I’ll be back with something more health related tomorrow. Right now I’m too sleepy to even think straight!

I LOVE the grey suits!! I really wanted my husband to go for that, but he wanted to stick with black.
